Not a true separate breed in all associations, but a cross between the Persian and the Siamese cat, first developed in the 1950s. They have the Persian's long coat and body type, combined with the Siamese's "pointed" coloring and blue eyes.

    • Personality: A blend of the Persian's sweetness and the Siamese's playfulness. They are generally gentle, docile, and loving, enjoying being held and lounging, but they can be more active than a pure Persian. Grooming: High-maintenance, similar to the Persian. Requires daily brushing to manage their long, dense coat and frequent attention to their flat face (eye cleaning). Health: Share the same brachycephalic and PKD health risks as the Persian. Best for: Owners who love the Persian look but want a slightly more engaged companion, and who are committed to intensive grooming.
