Noise: Relatively quiet compared to large parrots. Males are known for their great ability to whistle elaborate tunes and can sometimes mimic a few words. Care: Considered low maintenance compared to large parrots. Need daily interaction and supervised out-of-cage time. A gentle introduction to children is usually successful. Lifespan: 15 to 25 years.
